Question On Micro Adjustment.

Hi I am new here and am thinking of buying the lens align, but first I do not see any videos on how to perform this with zoom lenses, Monday I will have my new Sigma 70-200 2.8, thank you.

Hi Christos,

Since there is only 1 AF Adjust per lens in the camera, you have to decide which is most critical. The best way to approach that lens is to test and adjust (if necessary) at the 200mm setting. Then test at 70mm and see how the AF is performing. Since there is more DOF at the 70mm setting (unless you are very close) usually there is enough margin for error that any difference in how the AF performs at the near and far range of the zoom. To summarize, generally test and set at 200mm, and then do a quick check at 70 mm at the appropriate shooting distance.

There is discussion of this in many posts in this forum, and I believe in the User Guide. Also many of the reviews talk about this scenario.

Best...

I will read that thanks;) but as of now I am trying to decide on either the sigma 70-200 2.8 or the Canon EF 70-300 IS DO lens, but also where would I find the lens align in Europe so I don't have to pay for customs?

We can only be truthful on all documentation. It is the law.
