How to cal a wide angle lens

I have lens align lite. It works great. It helped me discover that my Canon 7D had an AF issue. After corrected by canon I only had to make minor MA changes to my lenses. Those lenses included 28mm 1.8 , 85mm 1.8, 17-55mm 2.8, 70-300mm and 400mm 5.6.

Santa brought me a Tokina 11-16mm 2.8. I calibrated at about 3 ft and the AF was all over the place. One forum member reminded me that at 11mm (where i was cal'ing at) my DOF was really wide. In fact I hit the shutter several times (after moving it to Infintity) and looked at the distance readings and was getting anywhere from 2.5 to 7 feet.

So... How do I calibrate a lens like this.... assuming the lens/camera combo is working?
